Canon 5D
Right...I've bought myself a new camera. I've had a 10D for a year or two now, and was looking for something with more pixels. I was also interested in fullframe, mainly because I wanted to get the extra width from my (already wide) lenses.

I decided to go for the Canon 5D - it seemed to offer the best for the money.

So.....this page is not about showing off the relative merits of old and new camera (yet)...but to give you an idea of fullframe v normal 1.6 Crop (APS-C) from the same lens, see below:

In both pictures, I aligned the left of the image roughly with the edge of the door frame. I didn't bother with composition other than this, nor did I even focus the picture on anything in particular...so take this purely as an example of the sensor size comparison. Both pictures have a JPEG quality of 0%.

The Lens used is a Sigma 17-35 F2.8-4 DG HSM

Firstly, the 10D:

then the 5D:

As you can see, there's a lot more realestate from the 5D, however there's a bit of fish-eye going on.

I'll do a proper comparison soon!
